Martini sundae surprise

While on the last leg of our walk/run today (hence the has-nothing-to-do-with-the-rest-of-my-yap pic), apropos of nothing, I blurted out, "I want to get a martini the next time we eat out!" . Husband Mike: ::startled:: "What? Why?" . Me: "Because I've never had one! And us watching all the James Bond movies lately reminds me that I want to try this adulty beverage! *And* it comes with an olive!" . ::ensuing argument in which it was pointed out to me that I don't like hard liquor; how I thought that they must mix in something else beyond liquor (based on no actual knowledge of said beverage's composition); and frequent appeals to the awesomeness of the drink having an olive:: . HM: "The olive's just there as a garnish, and you're probably not supposed to eat it, anyway." . Me: "They wouldn't include it if you weren't supposed to eat it. It's like the cherry on a sundae -- yes, it's a garnish, but you still eat it." ::thinking:: "It's like sundaes are the martinis for kids." .
